About Me

Hello and thank you for stopping by!

I'm Hayley Sanchez - a Limited Licensed Professional Counselor with a specialty in perinatal mental health. I'm married, a mom, and have a golden retriever and a cat. I love gardening, reading, coffee, and living by the lake.
My background has been working in therapy with a special focus on women and trauma. Several years ago I became very interested in perinatal mental health - mainly due to my own experience of becoming a mom.
I read all the books on pregnancy, prepared the nursery, took birthing classes and felt completely blindsided and unprepared for motherhood. I had never felt so tired, anxious, or alone before.

I quickly realized I was not alone in feeling this way and I became passionate about helping other moms and learning as much as I could.

My Approach to Therapy

I believe the success of therapy is directly linked to the relationship between client and therapist. I approach therapy in a very open and relational way. When seeing a therapist, you should feel comfortable and connected to them. That is my goal for my clients.

I utilize an eclectic style to meet the unique needs of each client. Common approaches I use are person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy.

I want therapy to be a safe space for you to unload the burden you may be carrying and to feel relief. In therapy we take time to process, but I also want to provide you with education and new tools to help make daily life lighter.
