Frequently Asked Questions:
Do you accept insurance?
Yes! Hayley is in network with Priority Health, Priority Health Medicaid, Aetna, and Blue Cross Blue Shield.
What if I don't have one of the insurance types you listed?
If you are not covered by an insurance listed above, I do accept payments via credit card. I can also provide a superbill that you could take to your insurance for potential reimbursement.
Where are you located?
I am located in Berrien County, Michigan. By offering virtual therapy I am able to work with anyone who has a permanent address in the state of Michigan.
How long is each session and how often will we meet?
The initial intake session is about 60 minutes. This allows us time to talk about your history, current symptoms you're experiencing, and other background information. Subsequent sessions are 45-50 minutes.
Typically we start out by meeting weekly or bi-weekly, depending on need and severity of symptoms. We will keep talking about how you're feeling and what you are needing from therapy - this includes how often you think we should be meeting.
What do therapy sessions look like?
Initial therapy sessions are a time where we get to know one another and discuss what brought you to seek out therapy. After that, we work together to address your goals for therapy and begin utilizing sessions to process and gain skills to accomplish those goals.
Why does my bill come under a different therapy practice name?
I contract out my billing through Kool Counseling so I can maintain my focus on the therapeutic relationship and provide the best possible service. You may contact them directly if you have any further questions at koolcounseling.com.
How does virtual therapy work?
Our sessions will be held over a HIPAA compliant teletherapy platform. It will feel similarly to zoom or Skype. Most clients find that once the therapy session starts, they forget about being online and say it feels like we are meeting face-to-face.
It does help to have a strong internet connection and somewhere you can meet privately.
